Part of the class material is based on the best selling book “Crucial Conversations”. A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. 

Another key component of this class provides training in active listening.  Active listeners learn to hear what people are really saying. A good way to develop these listening skills is to use the HEAR, UNDERSTAND, INTERPRET and PROCESS continuous improvement model.
